Guatemala Highland Smallholders

Guatemala Highland Smallholders

toffee green grape baker's chocolate

This coffee comes from six different producers around Huehutenango: Erick Perez, Ader Recinos, Mynor Aguilar, Antonio Martinez, Tadeo Lopez, and Cruz Perez. This is an area where small farmers process and dry their own coffee, as opposed to selling red cherries to the local coyote. Selling dry parchment coffee allows smallholders like these to take the biggest piece of the pie possible.

Shared Source

This coffee reflects our commitment to buying across the full range of coffees from our long-term producer partners, not just the highest-scoring lots. By maintaining transparent relationships, our partners know we’ll value and purchase a wide variety of their harvests, giving them confidence to process carefully. In a challenging 2025 season marked by volatile prices, inflation, and high production costs, this approach helps ensure producers are fairly compensated while allowing us to share their best work in a balanced blend.
